Fiery Autumn Sunset

(reposting from my old post)

I live in the World Cup Park Apartments, very near to Haneul Park, one of the must-go-to places during Autumn. I have always wanted to go up there to take pictures but strangely, the nearer we are the harder it seems to have the time to go to a place that others would schedule in advance.

Fortunately, 3 weeks ago my husband and I and the 2 boys finally did it on a Saturday afternoon. We timed to have a rendezvous with the setting sun up in the Haneul Park so we left the house at 4pm and walked our way up.

I took a few pictures of the Haneul’s Autumn Landscape but it was the red, fiery sunset that amazed me. These are all unedited photos of the sunset taken from my Canon using prime lens.

It’s easy to get lost in this maze of Eulalia grasses

They’re all ablazing!

But here’s the Haneul windmills with the almost disappearing sun.

It was a great evening of leisurely walk punctuated by the boys’ laughters. They brought their soccer ball to entertain themselves knowing fully well that I could lose myself when I start tinkering with my camera. We went back home with everyone a little bit tired but satisfied. When I finally sat down and checked my photo files , I saw this another photo of a sunset from my veranda taken not so long ago. Somewhere in that horizon is the Haneul Park from where I took photos of those flaming sunset.

Well… different time, different place, different perspective. All with the same object.

  2. Napakaganda. 😍 theres always something about sunsets that get me staring at it for a long long time. Anywhere, beach, mountain, park, highway. Once theres this distict orange beauty that i rarely see. Makes me think and wonder of life’s complexities.
