Books, Living in South Korea

Book from CheongWaDae

I received the book from CheongWaDae yesterday. It contains the selected speeches of President Moon Jaein. Aside from the fact that it came from CheongWaDae, the official residence of the President of South Korea, it has something even more valuable.

The package came with a personal note from First Lady Kim Jung-sook. That was more than enough to make my day!

This book from Cheongwadae will definitely be in my collection. Because I especially hold dear books with the author’s note and signature. While not the author, the First Lady’s note is a sweet gesture.

Why did I receive the book?

A week ago, I received an email asking for my delivery address. I was informed that I was going to receive a book of President Moon Jae-in’s selected speeches. And the book will come with a note from the First Lady. This was in appreciation for the articles I have written regarding the Covid pandemic. I wrote 4 articles published in the main page of Korea.net.

That was an unexpected gesture. So, I was ecstatic to receive it and did my own unboxing video.

Receiving a Book with a letter from the First Lady

The note from the First Lady

As I said above, this is definitely one of my most cherished books. It is a very rare opportunity to be given this. And the story behind why I have the book makes it even more valuable.

This is simply inspiring. And I hope to have more published work from hereon.
