Water Sports Activities in Bali

Water sports activities are one of the many things to do in Bali. In fact, I listed this in my Family-friendly things to do in Bali as my sons had a good time doing these water sports.

The boys wanted to do more. But we also needed to think about budget and safety. There are other water sports they wanted but either not available at the moment we were there or the staff told them they can’t do it yet. My older son wanted to do Flyboarding and wakeboarding, but he hasn’t had any experience or training to do that yet. As a family, we wanted to do snorkeling but on the day we were scheduled to do it we were told the sea was not clear enough and we won’t be able to enjoy the snorkeling. That was nice of the staff to tell us so.

We availed of the water sports activities from Benoa Tirta Harum Dive & Watersport. I discovered this company the first time we were in Bali last March 2022. Bali was just re-opened to tourists after two years of pandemic struggle so they were happy to have people coming in again. It was just me and the boys along the stretch of Benoa at Nusa Dua. A few minutes later, another family came in.

It was a stark contrast to the second time we went last Lebaran holidays. There were many people availing of the water sports. That’s good business for them!

  11. Your family-friendly guide to Bali sounds like a lifesaver! 💦 It’s important to consider both budget and safety when planning water sports activities, especially with adventurous kids. Flyboarding and wakeboarding sound amazing, but it’s wise to wait until they’re fully ready. Snorkeling will be even more enjoyable when the sea is clear. Kudos to the staff for keeping you informed!
