My discovery of the first and only Coach Playhouse in the world and is located in Singapore was purely by chance.
I was walking along Keong Saik Road in Chinatown with my family when I saw a baby pink building along an alley. It stood out among the white-colored buildings. So, I told my husband and my sons I wanted to check it out. It turned out to be a Coach Store.
But there’s more. This Coach store houses the first ever and the only Coach Cafe in the world. It is Coach’s collaboration with The Brawns & Brains so it is named Coach Cafe by The Brawn & Brains.
When I got in, the staff were welcoming. It turned out that the store just opened a week before. It is new and obviously, the staff has all the enthusiasm to welcome and greet guests coming in. I learned this is the first concept store of a Coach Playhouse in the world. And it is based in Singapore.
You can check out the full video here:
It is a three-story building and the cafe is located on the first floor. Unfortunately for us, the cafe was full. You need a reservation to be able to have a seat and a table. Since it was new, I can imagine the excitement over this new cafe.
The first floor also has a lobby and a display of the latest Coach bags. The second floor displays a collection of their vintage pieces. I was told by the staff that they had 50 bags displayed there. This is also where you can customize your bags with the available accessories they have in the store. Plus, you can customize the Coach tag with your name. The third floor is the Coach Museum. The room is a floor-to-ceiling LED display showing Coach’s history.
I was excited about the bags and entertained the idea of buying one. But thinking very well about the price, I couldn’t afford to be impulsive about it. When I was buying Charles & Keith, my husband told me he was expecting me to choose a more expensive bag seeing how excited I was when we were at the Coach Store. No regrets though.
If you happen to be in Singapore, or if you have plans to be there, you can check out this Coach Playhouse in Chinatown.
